CMR Project was formed to organize and fundraise for the maintenance and improvement of Crystal Mountain Road from Clarkston Road to the gate on the north end. Work will be undertaken by volunteers, but the CMR Project hopes to be able to supply materials for road maintenance and reimburse fuel and operation costs for the equipment.

Over time, Crystal Mountain Road has seen substantially increased traffic, so the CMR Project intends to be a clearinghouse of information on proposed road work and scheduling in order to be less disruptive to residents. It is also a focal point for donations to support road maintenance.
