The Why, What & How

The Why

Crystal Mountain Road is considered an easement to all the properties it crosses. It is the responsibility of the easement holders — the residents who use Crystal Mountain Road — to repair, maintain and improve the easement.

The What

CMR Project aims to help coordinate and fundraise to make it easier for all the easement holders to fulfill their obligation for road upkeep. Not everyone has equipment. Not everyone has time. Not everyone has spare funds. But we all have the responsibility to keep the road useable. So, the CMR Project will try and organize what each of us can contribute and use the total efficiently.

The How

Neighbors helping neighbors with shared equipment, time and money. We have volunteers with road maintenance equipment that they use to keep Crystal Mountain Road passable. If you have equipment and want to be involved, LET US KNOW!

We have volunteers committed to organizing the road work, schedule and CMR Project records. If you want to be a part of that, LET US KNOW!

Finally, we have established a bank account that can accept donations for gas, supplies such as gravel, and equipment maintenance. If you would like to help out, LET US KNOW!
